The New 2014 Kia Soul (pictured) arrives in European spec
The Kia Soul is almost the personification of a car designed for a purpose, looking more like a van for passengers than a family car. And that isn’t going to change much with the 2014 Kia Soul, but this time the Soul gets based on the latest Cee’d and grows in size, so it should be a more appealing drive. With more modern car underpinnings, the new Soul should ride better and be more dynamic, with better suspension and a stiffer body shell making the Soul a very practical family car, but one which at least offers a little joy in the drive.
A mere century ago, on Oct. 7, 1913, Henry Ford rigged up a rope tow to get Model T chassis across the floor of his Highland Park assembly plant -- essentially winching cars across the factory floor and adding a set schedule of parts at certain intervals. We’ve been accused of ‘dissing’ the new Jaguar C-X16 Concept when we first saw it revealed a few weeks ago. But that wasn’t the point of the story at all. We love the look of the Jaguar XE to be – just as we love Jaguar’s entire current range – but we did wonder out loud if Jaguar had been a bit timid with the C-X16.
